It doesn’t take a loyal “GG” follower to see that the entire cast was so ready to throw in the towel and call it a day at five when wrapping up this episode.

Most of you know Taylor Momsen as the irreverent, life-ruining little sister in “Gossip Girl” or as a moody musician who “quit acting” last year, but I like to remember her as impossibly adorable, brave Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 flick, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” With the holiday season in full swing and Christmas movies on our TV sets, now’s the time to remember what our favorite Christmas movie actors once were (lookin’ at you too, Macaulay Culkin). Things got a little weird for the reportedly volatile Momsen after “The Grinch,” so we’ve taken the liberty of chronicling her downfall. Merry Christmas.

TV’s best mean girl, Blair Waldorf will be off the air soon enough, but actress Leighton Meester, who portrays the feisty Upper East Side resident in popular drama “Gossip Girl,” says she owes her entire career to the show.

As Occupy Wall Street protesters marched northwards into Greenwich Village last night, something most ironic happened — they crashed the set of Gossip Girl, the show that famously glorifies the 0.01 percent.

Gossip Girl is getting a new character: a power-hungry media mogul. Elizabeth Hurley will join the cast of the Upper East Side-set melodrama about rich teenagers and their psychotic parents.

According to US Weekly, Hurley will play Diana Payne, “A sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with. Diana’s entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all [the show's] characters.”

Hmm. As the folks at The Grindstone asked, who could this media titan be modeled on? We couldn’t resist giving it a guess.
