Remember that time political commentator Hilary Rosen said potential first lady Ann Romney has never worked a day in her life? Yeah, we don’t like bringing up that awful time, either. It brought out the worst in conservatives and liberals alike and added nothing positive to the political discussion. That’s why I’m a little surprised by the audacity of “Married… with Children” star Katey Sagal, who recently went on Comedy Central to quip that Ms. Romney is about as useful as the mold growing on your shower curtain.

Hilary Rosen was slated to appear on Sunday’s episode of “Meet the Press,” the political consultant tweeted Friday that she is skipping the show “to be a mom who stays at home,” an obvious reference to her much-maligned Wednesday comment that stay-at-home mother of five Ann Romney “has actually never worked a day in her life.”
