Hurricane Sandy brings anything but happy memories to mind, but Current host Joy Behar successfully made light of the traumatic event with “Comics with Benefits,” a benefit comedy show that featured esteemed comedians such as “Seinfeld” mastermind Larry David, “Saturday Night Live” alum Darrell Hammond, Sherrod Small, “Sex and the City” cast member Mario Cantone, and many others at the 92nd Street Y on Monday evening.

More often than not, it takes many failed relationships to find the right one. For these women, it took at least one drastic career change for them to find their true professional calling. The bestselling author told Joy Behar on a Tuesday episode of Current’s “Say Anything!” that she has been approached by the pub before but declined to pop up on its glossy pages.

Guys, I’m a little upset. I shouldn’t be in low spirits, as I just had the chance to ask Current host, Joy Behar seven questions about her new program, but I’m bummed to learn that she’s not a real redhead (us gingers need all the representatives we can get!) She sure pulls off the color, look, and attitude, though. She also said she’d like to get “Girls” creator, Lena Dunham to appear on the program, and that’s definitely an interview we’d like to see.

Joy Behar, whose CurrentTV show premieres tonight, sure knows how to facilitate a riveting conversation. For the first episode of her program, she sat down with Michigan state Rep. Lisa Brown, Erica Jong, and Daily Beast writer Michelle Goldberg to talk about Brown being silenced on the House floor for daring utter the word “vagina.”

“The View” host Joy Behar sunk to a new low during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Last Word,” where she said former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has no place in the political discussion and should be working on a “game show” somewhere, insinuating that the ex-pageant participant should just capitalize on her looks rather than do something of immense substance.

Speaking to Lawrence O’Donnell about Palin’s thoughts on who Mitt Romney should pick as a running mate and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, Behar said of Palin, “Shouldn’t she be turning letters somewhere on some game show at this point? Why is she still involved in the conversation politically?”

Lori Greiner is one of the “sharks” on ABC’s Shark Tank, a well-established guilty pleasure for The Jane Dough. This morning she appeared on The View to talk about her role on the show and basically explain why she has so much money to burn.
