Yet another story, this time from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, tried to explain today why women get passed over on promotions. But while it points out a lot of valuable statistics — just 14.1 percent of Fortune 500 execs are women, for example — it also comes to one odd conclusion: Women don’t get promotions because they don’t ask for them.
