15 Women We Want To See Moderate The Presidential Debates

gwen ifill

It’s almost that time again — election time. And that can only mean one thing: Presidential debates are coming our way. And here’s why you should be concerned: There’s only ever been one female presidential debate moderator. Twenty years ago, in 1992, Carole Simpson from ABC news moderated the George Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton debate. And since then there has been no female presence on the debate panel.

Palin Should Accept Couric’s ‘Open Invitation’ To Appear On Katie

Palin and Couric

Anchor Katie Couric’s cringe-inducing interview with former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin may have taken place nearly four years ago, but there still seems to be some bad blood between the two leading women. Even so, the television host, whose new daytime show Katie is set to air later this year, would be happy to have the Alaskan make a guest appearance on the program.

Katie Couric: “It’s Okay” To Use Your “Wiles” To Get Ahead At Work

Katie Couric: Trump Was “A Jackass” Who Was “Abducted By Aliens”

Picture 4

Couric was particularly bubbly and a little sassy on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, where she had some disparaging things to say about Donald Trump’s recent behavior:

“He actually can be a very, very nice person with a good heart, but I think he was just acting like a jackass for a while.”

Couric said that though she’d mingled with the Donald at “events in New York” (Leno said he had too, of course) where he’d been pleasant (Leno noted how polite the Trump children were at such events), she found the whole presidential bid to be “strange.”
