We already know that haters haven’t left numero uno “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson alone about her weight since she beat Justin Guarini in the reality show competition in 2002, but it’s almost equally annoying to know that people also joke that she’s a lesbian merely because she isn’t the kind of celebrity to have a different fella on her arm every week.

My cell phone began buzzing uncontrollably, as my friends from across the concert stadium couldn’t believe their eyes. “Kelly Clarkson got so fat,” the people around me said during her 2009 show at the University of Arizona. Meanwhile, I was so pumped to see the very first “American Idol” sing in person.
