Olbermann: ‘Stepford Blond’ Kirsten Powers Is ‘On Fox, She’s Going To Hell’
10:30 am, September 6th | by Laura Donovan
If you’ve ever appeared on Fox News, you may as well become a Satanic worshipper because you’re destined for Hades, according to former TV show host Keith Olbermann, who said Wednesday night that political commentator Kirsten Powers is a “Stepford blond or brunette” and going to hell for contributing to the network.

Media Stars You’d Never Guess Came From Small Towns
1:15 pm, May 30th | by Laura Donovan
As much as I love the grit and hustle of New York, there will always be a special place in my heart for small towns — and for people who were raised in such places and experienced much success upon relocating to intimidating large cities.
It’s even better to see them on TV, as they provide a sense of hope for folks outside NYC and DC who dream big and of eventually making a name for themselves. Here are some awesome television personalities who grew up in locations far removed from the media world and maintained their small town pride and charm all the while.

Fox’s Liberal Pundit Kirsten Powers: ‘I’m an Orthodox Christian’
10:02 am, May 25th | by Laura Donovan
We suspect the average Jane Dough reader was a bit of a Tracy Flick in high school or college (guilty!). Fox News political analyst Kirsten Powers, a contributor for The Daily Beast and New York Post and proud Democrat, says she was a lot like Flick at the beginning of her career — and we think that’s a good thing. You don’t get to serve in the Clinton Administration, become a higher-up at AOL, work on political campaigns, or regularly appear on television without being ambitious.
You also don’t have the chance to publicly denounce misogyny on multiple occasions without the strength to endure the backlash. Powers has been doing that for a while, and though she has put forth a lot of effort to combat misogyny, she’s going to continue fighting the good fight, so we’re lucky we had a opportunity to chat with her about women’s rights, how she got to where she is today, and her future goals.

Michelle Malkin, S.E. Cupp Unimpressed By Keith Olbermann’s Apology
12:15 pm, March 8th | by Laura Donovan
The word “sorry” doesn’t seem to be enough anymore.
In the wake of the heavily publicized Sandra Fluke/Rush Limbaugh debacle, CurrentTV host Keith Olbermann took it upon himself to sort of apologize to two of the women he has publicly insulted in recent years and address Kirsten Powers’s recent Daily Beast column about the media’s double standard on conservative and liberal men making misogynistic statements. Though he admitted some of his comments about the women weren’t “nice,” he addressed them with hostility more than anything else.

Thank You, Kirsten Powers For Reminding Us Limbaugh Is Not The Only Sexist Media Man
9:32 am, March 5th | by Laura Donovan
Fox News contributor Kirsten Powers takes a fairly uncommon stance in a new Daily Beast column titled, “Rush Limbaugh Isn’t the Only Media Misogynist” in which she argues that left-leaning media men experience less backlash for making sexist remarks than Rush Limbaugh and other conservative commentators.
