Now that the dust has settled on the absurdly over-publicized Kristen Stewart cheating scandal, the 22-year-old has apologized for “making [those upset by the incident] so angry.” While it’s always nice to see young people take responsibility for their own actions and own up to their mistakes, Stewart never should have addressed her personal life in such a public manner in a first place, and issuing another type of apology only shows that she believes she has to explain herself to people she doesn’t even know.

For the past four years, one of my favorite parts of winter has been the release of new “Twilight” installments. Unfortunately, “Breaking Dawn: Part 2,” which hit theaters last week, marks the end of an era. I’m more than a little sad, as I loved defending “Twilight” to bitter haters throughout college and beyond, but Thanksgiving week is a great time to watch all the flicks marathon-style and reflect on the explosively popular franchise. Here are five reasons why now is the perfect time to see all the films.

Now that the dust has settled on the K-Stew/RPatz psychodrama, we can focus on the most important part of the four-year vampire franchise: the release of the “Breaking Dawn: Part 2″ trailer.

Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet last night at the Toronto Film Festival’s premiere of On the Road. The movie adapts Jack Kerouac’s eponymous novel, was filmed in at least five different countries, and sports no less a producer than Frances Ford Coppola. Stewart’s performance as Marylou even prompted HuffPost to ask if she’s the only actress in Hollywood making “real art.”

But forget all that, because according to most headlines, the only news of the night is the giant Robert Pattinson-shaped hole in Kristen Stewart’s side.

A few minutes ago, I realized just how incredibly naive I am. I thought the horrendous public shaming of Kristen Stewart had finally died down, but I was terribly mistaken. Critics are far from done stoning her for kissing someone other than long-time boyfriend Rob Pattinson, and they’ve just outdone themselves with a wildly offensive t-shirt bearing the words, “Kristen Stewart is a trampire.”

You probably know where we stand on the Kristen Stewart cheating scandal, but she hasn’t said a thing about the fracas since apologizing a few weeks back, so no one really knows how she’s holding up. But insiders say she has gone from being depressed to downright angry, as married father of two Rupert Sanders hasn’t been smeared by the media as much as she has, and her frustrations are totally sound.

Somebody should have spoken ut against the rabid abuse Stewart has been getting weeks ago, but thankfully the 22-year-old’s “Panic Room” cast mate Jodie Foster has risen to the challenge.
