Uh…did anyone else hear the weird thing Mitt Romney said about marriage in last night’s debate?

I don’t know whether you’re aware, but guys these days can really disappoint (young ladies are guilty of this as well, I’m definitely not exempt). They are taking forever to advance, refuse to settle down or remain faithful, and can make many of us think we must accept some level of disrespect or infidelity if we ever want to get married. So when I saw the 1968 photo of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney beside the words “I LOVE YOU, ANN” written in a heart in the sand, I lamented that this sort of thing doesn’t happen much anymore. Sure the picture is kind of cheesy and florid, but it’s very cute, and anyone who wants to trash it needs a lesson in romance (or should watch “The Notebook” again. Kidding…kind of).

Sandra Fluke is welcome at a lot of places, but the RNC doesn’t seem like one of them, so it’s a shock to learn that she’s making an appearance at the event today, even though it is of course in protest of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

We’re not crazy about Mitt Romney’s vice presidential selection, so it comes as no surprise to us that a new survey shows the Republican candidate would have fared better among swing voters by picking a female running mate.

Are you like, DYING to see Ann Romney’s RNC speech next week? I hate to burst your bubble, fangirls, but unless you attend the actual event, you may not able to watch the potential first lady deliver her speech. Several networks only plan on airing an hour of the convention and will cut off the broadcast before Ms. Romney is set to take the stage.

From Rush Limbaugh and Slut-gate to the Affordable Care Act and its contraceptive coverage goodness, this election cycle has focused intensely on women. And, so far at least, the numbers show women favor Obama. In fact, the latest Quinnipiac poll shows Obama leads Romney among women voters by a staggering 14-point margin.
Yes, Mitt Romney has a problem with women. We all know that. And with Romney’s running mate selection, one can only assume the presumptive GOP candidate has given up any pretense that he gives a crap about the woman vote.

The dust has settled on the Sandra Fluke-Rush Limbaugh debacle, and the Georgetown law graduate appears ready to address it again — and in a manner that shows how President Barack Obama is capable of making the country a better place for women, unlike rival Mitt Romney.

It’s annoying to have to remind people that birth control pills are not just for pregnancy prevention, and actress Elizabeth Banks presents this nicely in a new ad for Barack Obama’s reelection campaign.
