Pelosi Says Spirit Of Susan B. Anthony Talked To Her About Progress Of Women In Politics
11:45 am, August 9th | by Laura Donovan
Politicians are very seriously people, but that doesn’t mean they deny the existence of the supernatural. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said recently that the spirits of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Sojourner Truth, and several more historical women once came to her at the White House to celebrate a woman being a big player in politics.
Speaking at a Women’s Political Committee event, she said the women told her, “At last we have a seat at the table,” seemingly referring to Pelosi’s involvement in Democratic House leadership. All of this took place while Pelosi was meeting with George W. Bush, but she wasn’t concentrating on W., as the spirits all toppled onto her seat.

5:15 pm, May 29th | by Laura Donovan
Don’t lie: You’ve thought about which famous figures look like you. If you’re anything like me, you’ve made a point to repeat far too generous comparisons (i.e., Blake Lively!) to feel better on bad hair days and haggard moments.
I’m sure you also enjoyed the fairly recent “celebrity doppelganger” profile picture trend, which involved users posting photographs of stars they’ve been told they resemble. If politicians could run personal Facebook accounts, they’d probably get a kick out of the exercise as well, but because they’re too high profile and busy to upload snapshots of their celebrity doppelgangers, we’re going to do it for them. Here are some female stars who share similar physical attributes to political women in power.
