In today’s EOD roundup, we explore how the lack of family-friendly policies in the US affects the fight for gender equality. While a majority of men and women prefer an egalitarian marriage in which domestic chores are taken on by both partners, in the absence of structural support, most women are forced to cut back or leave the workforce to tend to the home.
