Sandra Fluke is welcome at a lot of places, but the RNC doesn’t seem like one of them, so it’s a shock to learn that she’s making an appearance at the event today, even though it is of course in protest of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

The “Hey Girl, Ryan Gosling” meme will never get old, but that doesn’t mean every man in the public eye is deserving of a funny widespread movement. The ladies behind “Hey Girl, It’s Paul Ryan” kept the trend alive and have just taken it a step further with their new “Hey Girl, It’s Joe Biden” Tumblr page.

Remember the days when finding someone attractive didn’t involve creating memes about it on the Internet? Things are much more complicated now, as MSNBC host Rachel Maddow knows all too well. The TV anchor recently devoted an entire segment of her show to explaining the evolution of the “Hey Girl, It’s Paul Ryan” movement, which has since inspired the manifestation of “Paul Ryan Gosling.”

From Rush Limbaugh and Slut-gate to the Affordable Care Act and its contraceptive coverage goodness, this election cycle has focused intensely on women. Exactly a week ago, my day was made once I learned of the new “Hey Girl, It’s Paul Ryan” Tumblr page, which exploded on the Internet and sparked a light-hearted dialogue about the Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan’s similarities to “The Notebook” actor Ryan Gosling. But days after the politician himself responded in a tickled manner to the site, the three ladies behind the venture decided to close up shop…and shatter the worlds of Ryan fangirls everyone.

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, also known as Ryan Gosling in-training, was taken aback by the new Tumblr page that likens him to the heavily fawned over star of “The Notebook.” Last week, we reported on the “Hey Girl, It’s Paul Ryan” meme before it had made the rounds on the blogosphere, and Ryan has since heard of the site but doesn’t exactly want it to go viral.

If you thought the “Text From Hillary” Tumblr (RIP, *sad face*) was life-altering and should have remained on the Internet longer than it did, “Hey Girl, It’s Paul Ryan” will fill the Grand Canyon of a void in your soul that was made by the departure of the LOL-worthy Secretary of State meme page.
