Evil Genius: Makeup Companies Boost Sales By Naming Lipsticks After Food

Women are more likely to purchase lipsticks with names that reference sex or food. This, at least, was the conclusion arrived at by a University of Oregon professor, who analyzed 1,722 different lipstick names (from major brands like Bobbi Brown, Clinique and MAC) and studied how different names draw different reactions from women.
