Remember when a Something Awful campaign successfully hijacked a contest to have Pitbull fly to a local Wal-Mart and give a concert, sending the rapper (who bore the indignity with good humor) to Kodiak, Alaska? Well, the bedbugs of the Internet, Reddit and 4chan users, found that so inspiring that they were moved to try again β this time by sending Taylor Swift to give a concert at a school for the deaf.

Hey there aspiring CEOs, looking for a new gig? Reddit wants you! They’re no longer holed up in Conde Nast land, so you’re free to go wild without having to worry about bumping into Anna Wintour in the elevator.
As of today, the wildly popular Internet forum is free from the magazine publisher Conde Nast, which many felt seemed a strange group to own Reddit in the first place. Reddit, you see, is a kind of America’s Funniest Home Videos for the Internet age. (Okay, not quite, but it’s not-so-fancy forum for sharing cool stuff). Conde Nast, on the other hand, publishes The New Yorker.Β And Vanity Fair. And Vogue. You know, fancy stuff.
