5 Books To Read Instead Of Rielle Hunter’s Memoir

Emily Giffin

Pretty much everyone can agree that Rielle Hunter comes across as an awful human being, having conceived a child with a married man whose wife was dying of cancer and then called said cancer victim a “witch on wheels.” So it’s a shock to no one that the infamous mistress’s book has sold just 6,000 copies. It’s reassuring that much of the country finds her just as tacky as I do. Rather than blow your money on Hunter’s 2-star rated tell-all, pick up some of the new releases below.

EOD Tuesday: Whoopi Goldberg thinks Rielle Hunter is “heartless.” And we can’t really disagree with her on this one.

Non-Shocker: Rielle Hunter And John Edwards Are, Like, Totally Splitsies [VIDEO]

Grab the Kleenex, gang: Rielle Hunter and John Edwards broke up late last week. And like high schooler with a mega-phone, Hunter decided to announce this news to the world just days later. Oh, except her mega-phone was Good Morning America.

6 Terrible And Insane Things Rielle Hunter Said In Her ’20/20′ Interview And Book

Hunter

We all know Rielle Hunter is off her rocker, but the comments she made during her highly anticipated “20/20″ interview and in her soon to be released memoir showed us just how bonkers she really is. We’ve taken her to task before and couldn’t help doing it again, as she sounded like a naive, insufferable teeny bopper when she told ABC that preparing to hook up with John Edwards for the first time was “like a rock concert.” Here are some ridiculous remarks she made in the sit-down and claims in her book.

Rielle Hunter’s 6 Most Ridiculous Moments

As a little kid, did you ever think to yourself, “When I grow up, I want to have an affair with a former Senator whose wife is terminally ill, do a bottom-less magazine spread, have a child with the shamed politician, and write a book about it all?” This, of course, is the life of Rielle Hunter. The “What Really Happened” author’s story worsens by the day, and it’s only going to disgust us more when she overshares details of her life on “20/20″ this week. You’d be hard-pressed to find a person with more nerve than the lady who slept with John Edwards soon before the death of his wife and tried to profit off the scandal, so here are a couple of her most shameful moments in media history.

Memoirs You Should Never Read, Starting With Rielle Hunter’s

What Really Happened

Few people disgust me more than slimeball creeper John Edwards, but his mistress Rielle Hunter has just gone up on my list of shame for writing a memoir about the affair she had with the former presidential candidate. The book, titled “What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter, and Me,” is being marketed as a tell-all on the crumbling of the skeevy politician’s reputation. I know America loves train-wrecks, but who really takes pleasure in reading about a man who cheated on his dying wife and fathered a child with another woman?

Nevertheless, publisher Glenn Yeffeth told PEOPLE that BenBella Books is “delighted” to print Hunter’s story, as “no one has heard the truth of what really happened until now.” Okay, Hunter is the end-all source here, we can go home now.
