MTV’s True Life seems be the only MTV program that has stayed consistent with how MTV used to be. The show still has the feeling of peeking into someone else’s life without feeling that the cameras are changing the perception. Unfortunately, some of what you end up seeing is pretty depressing. I recently caught an episode called “True Life: I Have a High Maintenance Girlfriend,” but it really should have been called, “True Life: I’m a Douchebag In a Toxic Relationship.”

On episode 5 of The Rachel Zoe Project…nothing happened. Literally. I mean nothing really ever happens on this show, but I think even Rachel was bored with this one. We will try to make the best of it.

When I think of art, I tend to take the Jack Donaghy approach. “We know what art is! It’s paintings of horses!” To me, the art world is all about sophistication, interpretation and well, money. One young woman, Cristina Salmastrelli, is trying to change that perception of the art world.

Gosh, can you believe it? We are already on Week 4 of The Rachel Zoe Project. It seems like just week we were galavanting around Paris in big hats. Now it’s back to reality — well, Rachel’s reality which for the rest of us is not realistic at all, unless wearing turbans to polo matches has become the norm.
