The Dem Chairman Who Compared Nikki Haley To Hitler’s Lover Makes Me Hate Everything

The DNC is in full swing, and you know what that means, right? Stupid comparisons in speeches are in order. Two days ago, DNC executive director Patrick Gaspard likened former Alaska governor Sarah Palin to “Harry Potter” villain Lord Voldemort and S.C. Democratic Chairman Dick Harpootlian insinuated Wednesday morning that governor Nikki Haley was similar to Adolf Hitler’s lady friend by doing news briefings in a basement studio at the NASCAR Hall of Fame:

“She was down in the bunker a la Eva Braun.”

After a day of being married, Braun and Hitler took their own lives in a bunker, presumably because World War II was ending. Not the kind of people you want to be linked to, even in jest. Hitler comparisons have become so commonplace, it’s hard to take offense from them, but that doesn’t make the rude remarks any less malicious.
