The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Salaries Will Make you mad

Little girls often dream of growing up to be princesses, doctors and President of the United States. I don’t think any of them dream of growing up and getting paid for causing drama at spa resorts, emphasized finger pointing and being the proud owner of 16 one-shouldered dresses. And yet some women do this and get paid a buttload for staring at each other awkwardly while two of them fight about who didn’t sue eachother. These are the women on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

From The Huffington Post:

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville told radio host Howard Stern that she made $18,000 as a part-time cast member and she’s expecting a raise, since the other women who have been on the show longer are making more than 12 times as much.

“For the first season I worked for $18,000 so it wasn’t a lot … The other girls are a year ahead of me and they’re making $250,000,” she said.

WTF? $250,000? All Yolanda does is walk in her garden and work out 16 hours a day. Kyle isn’t even interesting. She just has really long hair. Brandi actually should get credit for making sure the drama is major every week, but not that much.

To be fair, RHOBH is one of the more successful casts of this huge franchise. The ratings are good. But it is not like these women need the money. Adrian Maloof is worth $300 million. I have a theory that the cast was also paid for that weird winter wonderland promotional campaign. No other Real Housewives group has gotten such fancy advertising.  Andy Cohen usually just lets them sit in his clubhouse next to Larry King for five minutes.

Glanville told Stern, “those women were horrible, they are just horrible, they are just c–ts!” Sounds like a woman who should be getting paid a ton of money.
