The Worst Moment For Feminism On The Bachelor Last Night
11:30 am, February 6th | by Sarah Devlin
Four hours of The Bachelor this week, folks. “Cruel and unusual” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Let’s pick the worst of the worst, shall we?
A. Sean hates quitters
Sean has spent the first part of the season taking the girls to all of these very cold, mountainous regions in an effort to prove to everyone how rugged and outdoorsy he is, and the latest stop on the journey was Alberta, Canada. While there, he took several of the girls on a group date that involved joining the “Lake Louise Polar Bear Club.” The way one joins the club is by being completely submerged in water that used to be part of a glacier. It’s really cold, is what I’m saying. Selma didn’t want to do it, and refused even when Sean tried to wheedle her into it. I can’t prove that this is why he sent her home, but I would bet a large sum of money on it. Sean will not be disobeyed.
B. Tierra-rist tactics
Tierra gobbled up about a half hour of the episode for herself by getting hypothermia after joining the polar bear club (yeah, can’t believe Selma passed up that opportunity) ā or was it “getting hypothermia”? Whether or not her symptoms were faked or played up for the cameras, it was more of the “Oh, I am but a little woman!” shtick that has earned her so much attention from Sean thus far, who seems to looooove hanging out with women who have either been concussed or addled by hypothermia. Or, you know, “concussed” or “addled by hypothermia.”
C. He’s not mad, he’s just disappointed
Chris Harrison took it upon himself to defend his best bro Sean at this week’s rose ceremony. Before Sean came in to do his thing, Harrison served the ladies with a mini-lecture about how Dad Sean had been very disappointed by all the “drama” in Montana last week, but that the girls were much better behaved he had much more fun in Alberta this week. Don’t let it happen again, ladies. They were rewarded with a trip to St. Croix, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of tropical illness Tierra contracts.
So! Help us decide which moment was worse:
