In “Writer’s Cabin,” animator Leigh Lahav (of “Fangirl” fame) attempts to create the greatest TV show of all time. How will she do it? Well, by gathering (read: kidnapping) some of the greatest working television writers! Unfortunately, it turns out penning a groundbreaking series is a lot harder than sticking a bunch of talented writers in the same peanut-less room.
While we chortled at Tina Fey’s acknowledgment of the room’s gender imbalance, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out Lahav’s glaring omission of Shonda Rhimes and Jenji Kohan. I mean, Rhimes is basically propping up an entire network all on her own, and hello, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK!!! But we’re willing to forgive Lahav — that is, as long as she agrees to make another short as adorable as this one.
