Worst News Ever: Tina Fey Doesn’t Want to Host the Oscars

Brace yourselves America. It sounds like Tina Fey has no desire to host the Oscars, despite the wide open opportunity to show Seth MacFarlane how it’s done.

Tina said “No way” she would host the Oscars during promotion of her upcoming film Admission. Why? “I just feel that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman – the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone…no way,” she joked, during an interview with the Huffington Post posted on the website on Tuesday. Asked if there was at least a one in a million chance, Fey replied, “I wish I could tell you there was.”

Even Seth MacFarlane made the joke during the Oscars that people would have preferred Amy and Tina to host, even claiming they would host the show in 2014! You let us down again, Seth!

Tina, we urge you to reconsider. When she hosted, Anne Hathaway had to change seven or eight times because she isn’t as funny as you and she had to keep distracting us from James Franco’s stoned behavior with shiny dresses. You would only have to wear one, we promise.
