Trump Still Thinks Obama Birth Certificate Is Fake

Really? We thought that whole debacle was over.

Perhaps not quite. Texas governor and Donald Trump pal Rick Perry has a Q&A in Parade — in which he reveals that Trump is still, believe it or not, hung up on the issue of President Obama’s birth certificate. Here’s what Perry had to say:

You don’t believe what’s been released?
I don’t know. I had dinner with Donald Trump the other night.

And?
That came up.

And he said?
He doesn’t think it’s real.

Perry continued on to make clear that he’s not particularly hung up on the issue, but he also hinted that Trump still is. As you’ll recall, Trump made a big stink about the validity of Obama’s birth certificate. When it was finally released, he held a press conference, boasting that through prodding, “I feel I’ve accomplished something really, really important.”

If he doesn’t think it’s real, then we’re not exactly sure what he that “really, really important” accomplishment was.
