5 TV And Movie Dads Who Are Great To Their Daughters

Whether you love or hate Father’s Day, you can’t deny that Hollywood has had some pretty awesome dads in film and on TV. Some of them are cooler and more badass than others (i.e., Liam Neeson in “Taken” could take on the world and school “Full House” father Danny Tanner any day), but, like us offspring, they’re special in their own way. Here are a few onscreen dads that take good care of their young girls and would be great to know in real life.

1.Taken dad

After his daughter gets kidnapped in Paris, retired CIA agent Bryan Mills flies to France to save his girl and punish those who took her away. I don't think I've ever seen a more dedicated onscreen father than Liam Neeson's character in "Taken."

2.Suburgatory dad

Upon finding condoms in his teenage daughter's room, single dad George moves her out of crazy Manhattan and into the suburbs. She hates him for breaking away from his "cool dad" image, but he reminds her that she's not supposed to like him all the time. Good papa for sure.

3.Little Princess dad

Tearjerker of the century: "A Little Princess." When her dad has to go to war, little Sara must stay at boarding school with a female headmaster who has a chip on her shoulder. We're led to believe Sara's father passes away, but he comes back for her and saves her from the awful environment Ms. Minchin has created.

4.Full House dad

Widower Danny Tanner is always calm and sweet to his three young girls in "Full House." Cheesy as the program may be, it's heartwarming to watch the four of them interact.

5.Hairspray dad

Christopher Walken is goofy and kind in "Hairspray," in which he dotes on bright-eyed and bubbly daughter Tracy and plump wife Edna. He listens to Tracy when she feels everything is going wrong and dances to his heart's content.
