So... Yea.
You’ll Never Be Able To Un-See Vice Magazine’s Menstrual Blood Fashion Spread
10:30 am, May 23rd | by Laura Donovan
It’s become commonplace to nag at magazines for not including enough photos of “real girls” doing real things in articles. Well, it doesn’t get much more real than Vice magazine’s newest fashion story, which features women going about their daily lives — jogging, reading, sitting in bed, taking a bath — with their menstrual periods fully visible and in some cases seeping through their clothing.
The shoot sends a message that some duds seem to find annoying — that most women bleed every month whether they’re prepared for the week-long hormonal Hell or not, so it’s really brave and necessary of a publication to make sure the public doesn’t forget. As noted by The Frisky, however, the snapshots are probably NSFW, so click on over to Vice‘s story yourself if you’d really like to see what these pictures are all about. If you find yourself grossed out, think about how a woman would feel if she were to get an unexpected visit from Aunt Flow, perhaps at work or on a date. I can assure you that surprise is much worse than any shock you may experience upon scrolling through Vice‘s story.
