EOD: Vogue Paris ADDED Wrinkles To Model For Bold Cover Photo

EOD Saturday: In an awesome reversal of standard fashion magazine operating procedures, Vogue Paris used makeup to give its 22-year-old cover model exaggerated wrinkles around her eyes. Intelligent Life got a lot of attention in March when it featured a non-Photoshopped cover photo of Cate Blanchett, but this Vogue Paris cover is perhaps an even stronger statement — and it’s awesome. Bill Maher came up with a brilliant response to the so-called birthers who persistently doubt that President Obama was born in this country. On his show, Maher launched the “wifer” movement — questioning whether Mitt Romney is really married to just one woman, his wife Ann, or whether he’s clung to his Mormon roots and married multiple women. Absurd? Absolutely. More absurd than suggestions that because Obama’s father was from Kenya, the president must be lying about his own origins? No, not really. [Mediaite]

A photographer decided to start living as a woman after an emergency room ultrasound showed he already was one. Stevie Crecelius told Fox 31 that she had always felt like a woman, had played with her mother’s clothes and makeup as a young boy, and that during an ultrasound for kidney stones, a nurse discovered that Crecelius had actually been born with a combination of male and female sex organs. I wonder how people who think transgender people are sinners feel about Crecelius’ decision to live as a women, considering the circumstances? Fox 31 also reported that Crecelius’ wife and six children have been supportive.
And, for your daily dose of TSA absurdity — a Catholic priest who was fired for molesting young girls has found a new “hands on” job at the Philadelphia International Airport. [Daily News]
