The Healthiest (And Unhealthiest) Cities For Women
5:30 pm, November 15th | by Carmen Shardae Jobson
You’re in luck! SELF magazine has taken it upon them…selves to rank “The Healthiest Cities in America for Women.” Lists like this either make you feel psyched to have made the right choice, or very self conscious about the city you list as home on Facebook. Only two metropolitan cities made the cut — Minneapolis and San Francisco (does Honolulu count as a metropolis?), and the other eight are quaint, tranquil, and forest-y, with plenty of scenic landscapes. California is especially well-represented on the list, with cities like San Jose reporting that 84% of its residents are dedicated to exericising regularly. You may not live in these healthy hotspots now, but make sure to give a shout-out to a loved one or long-distance friend that does!

- Bethesda, Maryland
- San Francisco, California

Curious about what was considered the unhealthiest? They’re here too (sorry, y’all). But hey — New York managed to steer clear of this one (I guess Bloomberg is doing something right…)
