Women To Look Out For At The WHCD (Who Aren’t Kardashians)

With the publication of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner guest list, most people are excited to see which celebrities will be attending as plus-ones for various news outlets and TV personalities (looking at you, Greta van Susteren). Who can blame them — it is fascinating stuff. While it is hilarious the the dog from The Artist will be the guest of the Washington Times, the fact that Kris and Kim Kardashian will attend as guests of Fox News certainly deserves an eye roll or two. More importantly, however there are plenty of notable women who will be attending who are famous for more than just being “actors.” Sorry Uggie.

Here is a slideshow of some of the awesome women who will be attending the festivities. From Senator Susan Collins (R- Maine) to Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, it is quite an accomplished bunch. N.B. — if you are thinking this list skews a little to the left, you are not wrong. As it turns out, most of the Republican politicians invited to the dinner happen to be male (what’s up, Reps. Allen West and Tim Scott! How’s it going, Senator Rand Paul?). To whoever is in charge of the guest list – something to think about for next year’s dinner.
