Watch This Woman’s Very Clever Resignation “Letter” To Microsoft Excel [VIDEO]

After working exclusively with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for three straight years, we’d imagine anyone would have a little pent up creative energy. Not that Microsoft Excel isn’t a non-stop thrill-ride but… you get what I’m saying.

It’s with this in mind that this rather creative resignation “letter” from a Microsoft employee working as a designer for Excel makes sense. It’s from Karen X. Cheng, a company veteran who decided to quit. And she set her goodbye to the tune of “American Pie.” And the song’s actually really good!

No, it’s not some “screw you” letter to an exec — Cheng’s song is quite sweet. And she makes Microsoft sound like a pretty cool place to work (with lots of chips and beer around, apparently).

First off, she is gorgeous and I wish I ran into her here in Seattle.  Aside from that, it sounds like a complaint against her former employer, and I am not sure why she feels the need to do that.  I assume they paid her for the work she did, yet she wants to thumb her nose at her former employer and make a big mess about leaving.  I’m tired of hearing people complain about their jobs- it is a contract and if you do not like it then you can leave.  I’m sure they will find someone to replace her who will be glad to be doing work with the Excel team.
