WTF: Pole Dancing Classes For Little Girls?!

Unfortunately, that’s a lie. Kristy Craig, the owner of Twisted Grip Dance and Fitness Studio, uttered the chilling words above to quote her pole-dancing adult students, many of whom said they wanted Craig to find a way too let their children in on the fun. Due to popular request, Craig is going to begin offering “Little Spinners” courses that will teach little girls “aerobic pole-dancing basics.”
As if minors don’t have enough entertainment outlets these days. Don’t think this will turn them into kinky little freaks, though. Craig insists that the sessions won’t be sexualized:
“I treat it just like gymnastic classes…. I don’t teach any of the adult moves. For competitions they actually have rules and regulations that there can be nothing sexual, or any article of clothing removed, and in some you aren’t allowed to wear high heels. The sexuality is being taken out of it. It’s highlighting the gymnastic, athletic and circus acrobatics aspect.”
The words “pole-dancing” and “kids” don’t look good on paper, so naturally some people were pissed about these $70 per hour classes. To the haters, Craig says, “Do you see anything provocative going on here? Because there isn’t. This is strictly about fitness.”
With that logic, being a Pilates instructor is akin to stripping.
