Not-So-Zen Yogi Sues Gym After Employee Masturbates Next To Her During Meditation

In our go-go-go society, meditation is tough, but made especially difficult when another person is pleasuring himself in the same general area.
That’s the unfortunate fate of New York female yogi Keiko Herskovitz, who woke up from her meditation session at Equinox’s Pure Yoga West to find “a maintenance associate, about two feet away, masturbating.”
After the rattled gym member realized what the man was doing, he allegedly “quickly covered himself with a yoga blanket and ran out of the room,” according to court documents.
The worst part? When Herskovitz confronted the studio’s manager on duty, the manager didn’t believe that the incident had happened. Underwhelmed by the yoga studio’s efforts, Herskovitz called the authorities, which of course got the studio’s attention. She soon received an email from the staff stating they were “taking [the incident] seriously.”
But court docs say Pure Yoga has yet to take action against the employee or notify the police. Way to go the extra mile, guys.
